ORBITRUEPortable flange facing machines
ORBITRUE is the Maucotools family of flange facing machines: they clamp in the bore, orbit around the axis and re-machine the sealing face directly on the plant, without dismantling the line.
Six sizes cover flanges from 1" to 80". The model number is the maximum facing diameter in inches: choose the size by diameter, then the drive.

HOW IT WORKS
IT ORBITS AROUND THE FLANGE AXIS
The principle is the same across the family, from the 19" manual to the 80" motorised machine: a fixed axis in the bore, a rotating arm, a tool feeding radially.
It clamps in the bore
Mounting is internal (ID mount): the machine centres and locks in the flange bore, which becomes the axis of rotation. No external reference to build.
The arm orbits
The arm rotates around the axis, by hand on the ORBITRUE 19 Manual and motor-driven on the motorised sizes, carrying the tool across the whole face.
The tool leaves a spiral
At every revolution the tool feeds radially: the result is the continuous spiral (“phonographic”) finish required on gasketed sealing faces.

SIX SIZES, FROM 1" TO 80"
Start from the diameter of the face to be machined: each bar is the facing range of one size. Where two sizes overlap, choose by drive and by the space available.

TWO WAYS OF WORKING
Manual: it goes anywhere
ORBITRUE 19 Manual is hand-operated: no power supply, a 331 × 191 mm footprint, transport in a carrying case. It is the machine for small and medium flanges and for quick maintenance jobs.

Motorised: productivity and large diameters
Five motorised sizes cover flanges from 1" to 80". Rotation and feed are constant, so the finish is repeatable from one revolution to the next and from one flange to the next.

DRIVES
Electric, pneumatic, hydraulic or CNC
Every motorised size is available with four drives: the mechanics do not change, you choose the energy available on site.
Electric
Electric gearmotor: the simplest choice in the workshop and on site, wherever mains power is available.
Pneumatic
Compressed-air motor, for plants where the available energy is the air line.
Hydraulic
Hydraulic motor with power pack: high torque and continuously adjustable speed.
CNC
Numerically controlled motorised axes, for repeatable cycles and programmed profiles.
SWITCH SYSTEM PLATFORM
THE LARGE SIZES ARE ALSO ANOTHER MACHINE
ORBITRUE 40 and ORBITRUE 80 are built on the Switch System: with the Switch Kit the flange facing machine turns into a large-diameter line boring machine, and back again. Whoever buys the flange facer already owns the core of a second machine.
