Key features
1000 mm modules joined by connecting elements and 12 M16 bolts: X-axis stroke goes from 550 mm with one module to 4550 mm with five. Rail alignment checked with a dial indicator.
The motor spindle is selected for the customer’s operations: milling, facing, drilling and tapping, with power and speed range matched to the material. Tilts 90° in any direction with the optional brackets.
Motorised X axis with gearmotor and rack, driven from a remote pendant with potentiometer and reversing switch; Y and Z axes by handwheel. Safety limit switch on the X axis.
Recirculating-ball linear guides and precision rack: ±20 µm repeatability on the X axis and backlash below 3.2 µm.
The rail is bolted to the workpiece or an adjacent structure with M16 bars (8 holes per module) and levelled with dedicated set screws: machine and workpiece become one body during cutting.
Available with electric or hydraulic drives, for environments where electric power is not available or not allowed.
Orbital Conversion Kit and CNC Kit: the same machine grows with the work, without changing head, arm or cabinet.

Modularity
Each 1000 mm module joins the previous one with connecting elements and M16 bolts; the rails are aligned with a dial indicator. Start with one module and add more when the job requires it, with no changes to the machine.
| Modules | Rail length | X-axis stroke |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1000 mm | 550 mm |
| 2 | 2000 mm | 1550 mm |
| 3 | 3000 mm | 2550 mm |
| 4 | 4000 mm | 3550 mm |
| 5 | 5000 mm | 4550 mm |
Usable stroke with arm and head fitted. Configurations beyond 5 modules on request.

How to configure it
Usable X travel is the rail length minus 450 mm: one module gives 550 mm, five modules 4550 mm. Start with the modules you need today and add more when the job requires it.
Milling, facing, drilling or tapping, on which material and with which tool: from these data we size the motor spindle of the head.
Electric where mains power is available, hydraulic where electric power is not allowed, CNC Kit for repeatable cycles and programmed profiles.
Each module is fixed to the workpiece or to a frame through 8 holes Ø 17.5 mm (M16 bolts). Send us a drawing or a photo: we will tell you how to clamp the rail.
Configurations
The basic configuration: rail fixed along the workpiece, head travelling on the X axis. For guideways, faces, welds and in-line sequences of holes or slots.
Two parallel rails and a cross beam: the head covers an area instead of a line. For facing wide surfaces, bed plates and plates.
The rails close a perimeter around the workpiece: the machine works like a portable machining centre built around the component, without moving it.
With the orientation brackets the head rotates 90° in any direction: vertical walls, inclined surfaces, machining from below.
Milling head
There is no single motor for every job: the head carries the motor spindle best suited to the customer’s material, tool and cycle. The arm with handwheel-driven Y (500 mm) and Z (120 mm) axes stays the same, and with the optional brackets the head tilts 90° in any direction.

Drive options
The mechanics are the same in every version: what changes is how the axes and the head are driven. You choose according to the energy available on site and the type of job.

Electric gearmotor on the X axis, up to 875 mm/min, and electric motor spindle. Control panel with remote pendant, potentiometer and reversing: the most common configuration, in the workshop and on site wherever mains power is available.

The same mechanics with hydraulic drives: for sites and areas where electric power is not available or not allowed.

Servomotors on the axes and numerical control instead of handwheels: repeatable cycles, interpolation and complex profiles on the same machine.

Data refer to the standard configuration. The milling head (power, speed range, tool holder) is defined at quotation stage based on the customer’s machining needs.
Orbital Conversion Kit
Rotary unit with precision slewing bearing, fixing arms and counterweight: the LMM’s head, arm and cabinet move onto the orbital base and the machine becomes an RMM for flanges and circular seats.
CNC Kit
Servomotors on the axes and numerical control in place of the handwheels: repeatable cycles, interpolation and complex profiles on the same mechanics.
